Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in the package? The package includes a 20-minute session, 8 professionally edited high-resolution digital images, and a private online proof gallery to select your favorite images. Additional digital images, prints, and products are available for purchase. What should we wear? Fall, neutral, and earthy colors photograph beautifully. Layers such as sweaters, jackets, scarves, and boots can add texture and a cozy fall feel. I recommend coordinating your family’s outfits rather than matching exactly and avoiding large logos or overly busy patterns. I’m happy to offer guidance and recommendations on what to wear. Can we bring props? Yes. You’re welcome to bring a small prop or blanket if you have something meaningful you would like to include. Please keep in mind that Mini Sessions are only 20 minutes, so I recommend keeping props minimal. If you have something specific in mind, please let me know beforehand. How many people can participate? Fall Mini Sessions are designed for immediate families of up to 5–6 people. If you would like to include cousins or another family, please book two back-to-back sessions so we have enough time to photograph everyone together and separately. For larger or extended families, please inquire about a full family session. What if the weather is bad? For outdoor sessions, I’ll keep a close eye on the weather. If conditions are unsuitable for photography, your session will be rescheduled to another available date or location. I’ll contact you if any changes are necessary. When will we receive our photos? Your proof gallery will be delivered within 7 days after your session. Once you select your favorite images, your final professionally edited images will be delivered within 7–10 days after your selections are submitted. Can I purchase additional images? Yes. Additional images beyond the 8 included with your session may be purchased for $25 per image. Prints and other photo products are also available for purchase. What if we need to cancel? Fall Mini Sessions are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, please contact me as soon as possible. Your session may be transferred to another family, or your payment may be transferred to another available session or service, based on availability. Can pets be included? Yes! Pets are welcome, but please let me know in advance. Dogs must remain on a leash when they are not being photographed. Please bring treats or a favorite toy if needed to help keep them comfortable and focused. |
How to Prepare Children for a Mini Session Set Expectations: Explain the session in a fun, positive way. Let them know you’ll be taking some pictures, playing, and spending time together as a family. Choose Comfortable Outfits: Choose clothes they feel comfortable in. Letting children be involved in picking their outfits can help them feel more excited about the session. Keep the Day Relaxed: Try not to schedule too many activities before your session. A rested child will usually have a much easier time during photos. Bring Snacks & Comfort Items: Bring a small, mess-free snack and a favorite toy or comfort item if your child may need one. Keep It Positive: During the session, stay relaxed and let me guide your child. Natural expressions and interactions usually make the best photographs. Plan a Little Reward: Having something fun to look forward to afterward—like ice cream or a favorite treat—can be a great motivator.
