Frequently Asked Questions Where are the Holiday Sessions held? Sessions take place at my photography studio in Santa Clarita, California. How many people can participate? Holiday Mini Sessions are designed for immediate families of up to 6 people. If you have a larger group, please contact me before booking. Two consecutive sessions may be recommended. What age can babies participate? Children must be at least 3 months old for Holiday Mini Sessions. Can we bring our dog? Yes. Dogs are welcome. They must remain on a leash while in the studio unless they are being photographed. Please let me know ahead of time if you are bringing your dog. What is the difference between the Mini and Signature Session? The Holiday Mini is 25 minutes and includes 8 edited images. The Holiday Signature Session is 45 minutes and includes 15 edited images. The Signature Session gives us more time for different combinations, individual children's portraits, sibling photographs, and pets. Do we receive all of the photos? Your package includes the number of professionally edited images listed above. You will receive a proof gallery to choose your favorites. Additional images may be purchased if you would like more than your package includes. Can I purchase additional images? Yes. Additional edited images will be available for purchase after you receive your proof gallery. Do you offer prints and Christmas gifts? Yes. Prints, albums, and other photo products are available. I also offer Holiday Mini Accordion Books, a set of three 4 × 4.5-inch, 14-page accordion books for $120. You'll be able to choose your cover color and title and approve a design proof before printing. Do you provide outfits? Wardrobe is not provided for Holiday Sessions. I am happy to help you coordinate your family's outfits and recommend colors that work with the set. What happens if we're late? Please arrive on time. Holiday sessions are scheduled closely together, so late arrivals will result in reduced photography time. What if my child is sick? Please do not bring a sick child to the studio. If anyone in your family is feeling unwell, contact me as soon as possible so we can discuss rescheduling. Can I cancel my session? Holiday Sessions are non-refundable. Bookings cannot be canceled for a refund, but they may be rescheduled or transferred to another available session or photography service, subject to availability. You may also transfer your booking to another family. When will we receive our photos? You will first receive an online proof gallery to select your included images. Your selected photographs will then be professionally edited and delivered through your final online gallery. |

How to Prepare Your Child for a Holiday Mini Session The best preparation is to keep the experience easy and positive. You don’t need to tell your child that they have to smile or behave perfectly for photos. I would rather let them get comfortable with me and the studio naturally. For babies and younger children, try to schedule naps and meals so they arrive rested and fed. Bring a bottle, water, snacks, pacifier, or anything else your child normally needs. If possible, have children dressed before arriving. This gives us the full session time for photographs rather than changing clothes. Please avoid practicing “cheese” before the session. Natural expressions, little laughs, movement, and interaction usually photograph much better than a forced smile. You can bring a small favorite toy or comfort item if your child is shy in new places. We may not need it, but it can be helpful. For toddlers, it is completely normal if they need a few minutes to explore or don’t want to sit exactly where we planned. I will work around them and keep things moving. Most importantly, don’t worry if everything doesn't go perfectly. Children don't need to sit still and smile for the entire session to create beautiful photographs. |

What to Wear The Christmas set has warm, neutral colors with greenery, champagne and olive velvet, pearl details, and soft warm lights. Colors that photograph especially well with the set include cream, ivory, warm white, beige, champagne, camel, taupe, olive, sage, forest green, and soft gold. I recommend choosing two or three coordinating colors rather than dressing everyone in exactly the same color. Some combinations that will work beautifully are:
