Newborn Session Information
-What health and safety precautions are taken during a newborn session
My top priority continues to be health and safety and I take numerous precautions at my sessions to mitigate any risk for your family and myself. I schedule only one or two newborn session per week. I clean, wash and sanitize all props and equipment before each session. In addition to my already high standards of handwashing and the use of hand sanitizer throughout the session, I will also wear a mask and gloves. - When to book your newborn session The best time to photograph newborn babies is when they are under two weeks of age, after two weeks babies are a little harder to settle and things like colic and baby acne can start to flare up. You can contact me at any time during your pregnancy to give me an estimated due date, I will then make a tentative booking and when you arrive home from hospital with your brand new baby you can contact me to arrange a suitable time and day for your session. -Where your sessions held Newborn sessions are held in the comfort and convenience of your home in Los Angeles and surrouding areas. If the weather is warm enough and you are comfortable with the idea, we can take the session outdoors. -How long will your session take Newborn sessions can take 2-4 hours, allowing enough time for feeding and comforting. -How to prepare for a session Before the session you will receive am email which details how to prepare for your session. It is imprtant to follow these simple staps I provide to help ensure that you and your baby are ready for your session. -What to expect after newborn photoraphy session One week after your session, you will receive a link to your private online gallery of images. |
-What is lifestyle newborn session
Lifestyle newborn sessions – Are a bit more casual approach to newborn photography. There may be some posing but the intention is to capture more natural images of the baby in her/his home. These sessions can be done up to 6 weeks old and usually last 2 hours max. My favorite thing about lifestyle newborn photography is capturing the wonder and amazement between the family members. Newborns are incredible but so is the love in the air. Memories of this time-frame often become fuzzy for new parents and that is precisely why I feel these types of shoots are so important. - What is posed session Posed/studio sessions – Typically must be done within the first 2 weeks of birth when the baby is very sleepy and “mold-able”. The focus in this type of session is on shots of the baby looking perfect, usually in blankets, wraps, hats, & headbands. The session can last up to 4 hours with feeding, potty breaks, and posing. Editing this type of session also takes quite a bit of time as each image needs to go through Photoshop individually to get a polished end result. -Do you provide props Yes! I will bring everything you will need for your posed newborn session: newborn posing beanbag, background fabrics, hats, headbands, a basket or two, blankets, and wraps. Some props, that you see on my photographs belong to the babies. The picture will hold a different meaning if we utilize your hats, blankets, or other props you wanted to include in the picture. -Do you offer to order prints I provide affordable and professional quality prints and canvases that can be ordered directly from your final gallery. This is completely optional since you own the digital files, but I do recomend you to use a professional lab when you print your photos. You invested in a professional newborn session, and you will want any images you print to also represent the high quality portraits you have captured. Ask me if you would like to order beautiful books and albums. |
