First Birthday Sessions A first birthday session is a beautiful way to celebrate this stage of your baby’s life and capture all the personality that has grown during the first year. Sessions can be focused on milestone portraits only, or expanded to include family portraits and a cake smash celebration. We usually begin with portraits of your baby before moving into the cake smash portion of the session. You’ll receive a mix of beautifully styled portraits, genuine expressions, and playful moments that reflect your baby’s personality. Family portraits can also be added for parents and siblings who would like to be part of the session. |

Preserving Your Baby’s First Year Your baby’s first year deserves more than just digital files. From those early milestones to the first birthday, these moments pass quickly—and many families choose to preserve them through handcrafted heirloom albums, fine art prints, and custom wall artwork. Families who book a newborn session and at least two milestone sessions within their baby’s first year (with at least one Standard Session) will receive a complimentary 8×8 heirloom album — a $325 value. Together, we’ll create artwork that tells the story of your baby’s first year and becomes art of your family’s legacy. |

What milestone ages do you photograph?
Milestone sessions are perfect for capturing the special stages of your baby’s first year, such as tummy time, sitting independently, crawling, and early standing or cruising. These sessions focus on documenting your baby’s growth, personality, and all the little changes that happen during the first year.
What is the difference between a Milestone Session and a Cake Smash?
Milestone sessions focus on simple portraits at a specific stage, while cake smash sessions include birthday portraits and cake smash images.
Do you provide the cake?
I do not provide the cake, but I’m happy to recommend a local baker who can create something simple and beautiful for your session. You are also welcome to bring a cake of your choice.
Can we include family photos?
Yes, cake smash sessions include the option for family portraits on a simple, clean backdrop. You can also add a small portrait session to any milestone session when booking.
When should we schedule a Cake Smash session?
I recommend scheduling your session at least 3 weeks before your baby’s birthday to allow time for editing and to have your images ready for your celebration.
