There’s something incredibly powerful about simplicity especially when it comes to maternity photography. Lea’s recent session at my Santa Clarita photo studio was a beautiful reminder that all you really need is natural light, a clean backdrop, and a glowing mom-to-be to create something truly special.

For this session, Lea wanted to keep everything minimal and classic. No elaborate props or distractions—just her, her baby bump, and the joy of this season of life. We chose a soft white backdrop for the first part of the shoot, which perfectly highlighted her radiant smile and the sweet anticipation in her eyes. Her black two-piece outfit added a touch of modern elegance while keeping the focus on her beautiful form.
We then shifted to a more dramatic black-and-white setup. With soft directional lighting and a peaceful pose, these portraits captured Lea’s quiet strength and connection with her baby. The simplicity of the shadows, her serene expression, and the subtle sparkle of her jewelry made the images both intimate and artistic.
Sessions like this one are a reminder that you don’t need much to tell a powerful story just authenticity, intention, and love. Lea brought all of that into the studio, and I’m so honored to have documented this special chapter for her.
