Watching little ones reach this special milestone is always heartwarming, and Atlas’ session was no exception.His mom reached out two months in advance to book the session, ensuring everything was perfectly planned for his big day. She came prepared with multiple outfit options, making sure he looked absolutely adorable for his portraits. Adding a personal touch, Atlas’ aunt baked a homemade cake, making the session even more meaningful.

Recently, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting Ethan’s first birthday session at our Santa Clarita photo studio, and it was a day full of joy, adorable moments, and, of course, cake!
Ethan’s First Birthday Session: A Day to Remember Ethan’s session started with some simple, classic portraits. Mom chose comfortable outfits, and the minimal, airy backdrop allowed Ethan’s personality to shine through. We included festive elements, such as balloons that read “Happy Birthday” and “1” to commemorate the occasion.  Choosing the right outfit for your baby is key to capturing stunning family photos.  I had the pleasure of capturing a truly special first birthday photo session for Ismael, a returning newborn client. As each baby graces my studio, I find joy in witnessing their growth, but Ismael's journey has touched my heart in a unique way.

Choose the right time: Schedule the cake smash session when your child is rested and in a good mood. Avoid scheduling it during nap time or when they might be hungry.
Tips for a successful first birthday session: 1. Plan in advance: Start planning the session well ahead of time to ensure you have enough time to book a photographer, select a location, and make any necessary arrangements.

Scheduling: If you’d like to use your portraits to display at baby’s birthday party I recommend having your session take place when baby is 11 months old.
