It was a luck when my friend and I had our boys only a month apart from each other. Our boys had immediate connection. They become friends and stay friends even though they see each other ones a year when we go to Latvia for summer vacation. Fishing is one of the activities they enjoy doing together. I just had to capture it.
I can watch Lifestyle photographs for hours because I am in love with a Lifestyle photography. I do it for my family and hope one day I will start doing these sessions for my clients. Taking pictures of my husband and son doing what they do. I do not setting up a shot or asking them to look at me. While I realize that I do not live with my clients and do not have this opportunity to actually capture their life, but when I take the pictures for them I try to capture them as natural as possible by having them do things they enjoy and that they would typically do. This could be hanging out at home, going to their favorite coffee shop, beach or bookstores they frequently go. It might be that special moment, when dad play sports with his children at their favorite park or mom reading a book or singing a song to her kids or they can bake cookies together. I want to capture their life when they are completely aware of each other and not aware of me. Hopefully, one day I will have this privilege to document moments and activities for my clients that they are going to remember forever just as I am doing it for my family right now.
"Looking at your child having fun and simply happy, its the happiest feeling a mother can feel. " my friend's comment when she look at these pictures
sI'd like to say how thankful I am for my husband, my son, family, friends, , colleagues, camera, movies, music, nature, books, health, and ....I am thankful that I have EVERYTHING that matters in life: To be loved by those you love. And I could not ask for more. And I am thankful for these two days I've spent with my friend. I am thankful for the food we cooked together, for the movies we watched, for the walk we took, for laughs and memories we shared. Philip and Beba didn't notice I was photographing them. And I was so pleased to see that Beba's illness did not change the connection between these two people at all. I just wish they had more time together. I absolutely love to photograph my family. When I have the freedom and time to do what I believe I am best at and I am able to create and give what is my most important, meaningful images.
Placerita Canyon Nature Center , Santa Clarita CA It was beautiful Sunday afternoon when Philip and his father went hiking in Placerita Canyon. It was a long hike that lead to a seasonal waterfall that was dry at this time of year. On the way to the waterfall they discovered a pool of bubbling white oil. The good thing about hiking with Dad is that you get to see things that you not normally see.
