Baby Benjamin- Lifestyle Newborn Session in Beverly Hills, CA The decision on how to name my photography business has been made during lunch at my previous job. Now I can talk about photography a lot, but in those days, at the beginning of my photography career, I talked about it nonstop. Suddenly, my manager and friend who I had lunch with, told me that I need my photography website…and we have to come up with the business name. How about ZOOMphotoraphy she asked me? Sounds not bad but it was already taken. Then it was ZAMphotoraphy first three letters of my last name …. also taken by a Texas guy (now we follow each other on Instagram) …. and then we came up with ZAMMphotoraphy maybe not a very fancy name but definitely a catchy one. I have some clients who told me that, since it was so easy to remember, they were able to found me after seeing my advertising on social media for six months.
How I made my start in a newborn photography / Baby Emilia Newborn Session in Santa Clarita, CA7/15/2020  My story about starting in photography is in All About Me site, but I want to share how I made my start in newborn photography. I always wanted to photograph babies but had no experience nor portfolio, and an amazing thing had happened: two of my friends and neighbors got pregnant 6 months apart. I remember my first newborn session as if it had happened today. Baby Lila was a month old and didn’t want to sleep at all. She was looking at me with her big and curious eyes and was really interested in what I was doing. I didn’t understand much what I was really doing even after watching hours of online newborn photography classes. When it was time for Lila's potty and she left it on my blanket, my friend asked me if I really wanted to do newborn photography. The soiled blanket didn’t discourage me. My answer was “yes”. My second baby was Samantha. She was also a one month old. I prepared this session thoroughly. If my first session with Lila lasted two hours ( this is how much time I had), Samantha’s session lasted two days for six hours each. Thanks to my friend, Samantha's patient mom, I got a lot of practice. Right now, both girls are 5 years old and, thanks to them, newborn photography become a big part of my life and my career.
 I photographed baby Elon in November of 2019 in comfort of his very own home in West Hollywood, CA. He is a super cute 7 months old baby right now with the most adorable smile.

This heart-melting lifestyle newborn session was in Santa Clarita, CA. This is the most adorable family with one sweet little boy and newborn baby girl. The newest member of the family is baby Wynter who is so sweet and her nursery is a dream of every little girl. My goal to help the family feel comfortable during a session with me. This is why I never rush my sessions so the family can get used to me and start to interact naturally as if I wasn’t even there.  I’m very excited to share some of my favorite photos from Eva's newborn session. I usually don’t post this many images from one session, but I think it is so important for you to know, what you can expect from a session with me.
When to Book Newborn Session I suggest booking your newborn session before baby is born. Once your baby is born, you will be consumed in his/her care and in awe of his very existence. Booking newborn session early ensures you don’t miss your chance for capturing those precious moments. I try to fit last minute requests into my schedule but it is not always possible. After I receive your deposit, I will put your babies due date on my calendar. After your baby arrives, we will set a date between 6 to 14 days after birth, is the best time to photograph your newborn baby in your home.
 Sixteen days old baby D. I photographed his cousins a little bit more than a year ago. They were handsome twin boys. It means a lot to me when my clients refer me to their friends and relatives. Thank you!!!!!
Natural light in-home newborn session in Simi Valley, CA.  Baby Maxim parents came from Russia to have him in Los Angels. They wanted to use only black and white backdrop fabrics for this ALL ABOUT A BABY session. Here are some of my favorite images from their newborn session.
 Every time I arrive at my client's house for a newborn session, I think to myself I'm am so lucky to be doing something I love. I am so lucky to meet wonderful families and their newborn babies. I am lucky to be able to capture amazing memories for these families!
 It is very important for me that parents stay next to their babies during my newborn sessions. I never ask mothers to stay further away from baby as is sometimes requested by other photographers due to the idea that the smell of mother’s milk will cause the baby to become unsettled. If the baby show signs of hunger such as the rooting that can occur when they sense and smell their mother, they are given appropriate time to feed. A satisfied baby will not be unsettled due to the smell of milk and it is better to have an extra set of hands close by than not.
 NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION AT HOME. Everything needed for the session is provided by me. I create a warm, relaxing and peaceful environment in the comfort of your own home.
 A sweet seven-week-old baby Danika with her parents. Yes, it is ideal to photograph babies under 14 days but it is not always possible. It should not mean you can’t still get newborn photos.
 The most wonderful thing about my Maternity & Newborn package is that I get to meet a couple, watch their excitement as they are weeks away from welcoming a baby into their lives, and then meet their precious baby once he/she has arrived.
Cheers to clients that leave a special place in your heart. Now, I absolutely believe that if I want to meet a great person on this planet I should damage that person's car.
It happened right after Thanksgiving. While parking my car in a parking lot I'd heard a scratching noise. Yes, I damaged Debbie's new car, left her a note and drove off the parking lot hoping she would never call me. She called me in couple days. I fixed her car and found out that she is a really sweet lady. She has a big family and is pregnant with her third son. I offered her a photo session and, in a three months, we finally met for this Family session in the Almendra Park.. |
